Do FindTag trackers work in Kenya?
Yes — perfectly. FindTag devices use the global Apple Find My network and Google Find Hub network, both of which are fully active in Kenya. Anywhere there are iPhones or Android phones around (which is everywhere in Kenya), your tracker can be located.
Do I need a SIM card or data plan?
No. FindTag trackers don’t use SIM cards or mobile data. They use Bluetooth and the existing global network of phones to anonymously and securely report location.
How long does the battery last?
It depends on the model. Our standard tags last 1 year on a replaceable CR2032 battery. Premium models like the P29 last 3 years, and our card trackers last up to 3 years sealed.
Will it work with my Tecno or Infinix phone?
Yes. As long as your phone runs Android 9 or later and has Google Play Services (which all Tecno, Infinix, Samsung, and Xiaomi phones do), you can use FindTag with the Google Find Hub app.
How accurate is the location?
Within Bluetooth range (about 30 metres), accuracy is 1-2 metres. Outside that range, the global Find network reports the last known location whenever any compatible phone passes nearby.
